alleykattz inc is a non-profit, all-volunteer rescue organization serving Long Island, New York City Metro, and the surrounding areas. We are dedicated and committed to rescuing abandoned and homeless cats, and those in danger of abuse and neglect.

Cats in our care are fully vetted and temperament screened, then placed in nurturing and loving foster homes, while we seek out their perfect forever family through a comprehensive adoption process.

Foster

Open your heart and home to a cat in need.

Fosters are the heart of our rescue. You’ll give a cat or kitten a safe, loving place to land — and play a major role in getting them ready for adoption.

We’re always looking for fosters for both kittens and adult cats.

Volunteer

We can’t do it without you.

There’s no set type of volunteer and no minimum hours. Give whatever time you can — every hour makes a big difference for the kitties.

Trapping

Experienced trappers help cats caught in unfortunate situations.

Fostering

Care for a cat at home while they get ready for adoption.

Fundraising

Help run fundraisers and promotions that pay for the cats’ care.

Transporting

Drive cats to vet visits, fosters and new homes — local or longer distances.

Social media & grants

Post cats online, create campaigns, and help with grant writing.

Photography

Take the photos that help our cats and kittens get noticed.
